Welcome, and thanks for using Dedalva. These Terms of Use (the "Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Dedalva LLC ("Dedalva," "we," "us") covering your use of our mobile applications and this website (together, the "Services"). Please read them — by using any of our apps, you agree to them.
Agreement to these terms
By downloading, installing, or using any Dedalva app, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent where you live) to use the apps.
The apps & your licence
Each Dedalva app is provided free of charge for your personal, non-commercial use. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the apps on devices you own or control.
This licence does not let you:
- Copy, sell, sublicense, rent, or redistribute the apps;
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code, except where the law expressly permits it;
- Remove or alter any branding, copyright, or proprietary notices.
No account, your data
Dedalva apps are built to work without an account. There's no sign-up, no email wall, and no profile to manage. The information you enter — your trips, vehicles, medications, cards, workouts, and preferences — is stored on your device, not on our servers.
Because that data lives on your device, you are responsible for it: for keeping your device secure, and for any backups. If you delete an app or reset your device, the data it held is gone and we cannot recover it for you. Our handling of any information is described in our Privacy Policy.
Acceptable use
You agree to use the Services lawfully and responsibly. In particular, you will not:
- Use the apps for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation;
- Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Services or related systems;
- Use the Services in a way that could harm, disable, or impair them, or interfere with anyone else's use.
App-specific terms
The terms above apply to every app. A few apps work with information or situations that deserve their own note — these add to, and don't replace, the rest of these Terms.
Routes, drive times, weather, fuel prices, and charging-station information are estimates drawn from third-party data and may be inaccurate or out of date. They are planning aids only. Always follow road signs, traffic laws, and your own judgment, and never interact with the app while driving.
Pill Assist is a personal organisation and reminder tool. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always follow the guidance of a qualified healthcare professional and the instructions that come with your medication.
Card Assist stores your card information locally and protects it behind your device's biometrics. Keeping your device and its passcode secure is essential — anyone who can unlock your device may be able to access stored content. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you choose to store.
Slumber Assist plays audio files you already have on your device. You are responsible for the content you add and for having the right to play it. The sleep timer and playback are provided as-is — don't rely on the app for any safety-critical alarm or wake-up purpose.
Third-party services & stores
You download our apps through the Apple App Store and Google Play, and your use of those stores is subject to their own terms. Some features rely on third-party data and services — for example mapping, weather, and charging-network information. We don't control that data and aren't responsible for its accuracy, availability, or the practices of those providers.
Intellectual property
The Services — including the apps, their design, code, the Dedalva name, logo, and all related branding — are owned by Dedalva LLC and protected by intellectual-property laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers any ownership to you. The content you create within an app remains yours.
Disclaimers
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any information they present is accurate or complete.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Dedalva LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the Services. Because the apps are provided free of charge, our total liability for any claim relating to the Services is limited to the amount you paid for them — which is zero.
Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
Changes to the apps & terms
We're a small studio actively building, so the apps will change over time — features may be added, altered, or removed. We may also update these Terms; when we do, we'll revise the "last updated" date above. Continuing to use the Services after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Dedalva LLC is established, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any disputes will be handled by the courts located there, except where applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
